Blog 10: English language challenges

I enjoy very much English class at university. I only made 3 and 4 levels, but in these curses i learn very much, above the speaking. This is very important because when I learn a languaje i have a big shame to have a conversation, principally for the pronunciaton of words.

For me was a very hard make the videos, because i dont remember in the moment that i would like to say, but is a rial tool to put away the shame and practice pronunciation.

I think the point of about another anglian-culturs is very succesful to understand this languaje. Also we learn from the caribbean culture, that is in general very unknowd for us as latinamericans living in the same continent.

I need to improved gramatical issues. Combine the times of verbs for can make ideas more strongs in a conversation. I need also improved my vocabulary: a lot of times i dont understand very good articles or newspaper in english, and is very important (in internet is the languaje with more websites).

I use English for reading musical articles, principally in Jazz and Classical music (exist a lot of god writers in this languaje). I will be more movies in english without subtitles (this class make me a interest of the films from another english speakers countries). I would in a future can read poetry and literature in english in a fluid way :)

blotg 8: Summer Vacation

I usually go to Panimavida (Colbun) in my summers vacations to see my grandparents and cousins, but this summer maybe i get keep in Santiago to make my thesis because i expect finisish them to March or April :(

I would like travel to Iquique few days (or weeks jeje), but depend if i have the money and I cant will cost the ticket. In Iquique (if i go) i will stay in the house of my friend Simon.  I love Iquique, in the summer is very fun and i have a lot of friends who i dont see in years. In this city i like to play volleyball in the beach, swiming in Cavancha or go to camping to the beaches in the south of Iquique (Ike Ike or Playa El Aguila). So how i see before, the mostly thing i do in this vacations will my thesis for finish the university. The good thing is that Santiago have a lot of activities in summer, maybe the bad is the clima, but is not very terrible :), and another classmates of my university keep in Santiago for similar reasons and maybe we can go out for a party or drink jaja

Blog 7: My favorite character

Hi everyone, my favorite character is Ippo from the manga and japanese TV serie (anime) Hajime no Ippo. This is one of my favorite characters of anime, but i have more.

In the beginning of the history Ippo have 16 years old and he suffer of bullynd and indiference of the people in the school because he must to help his mother in the job (fishing bot) and don not have time to socialize, so Ippo was very shy.

Ippo had luck to find Takamura, professional boxer, when three guys are bully him. He save Ippo and show the world of boxing. 

In the history, Ippo have a lot of complications: have to work with his mother, learn news technics to defeat another boxers and the hard training that they must to completes to be professional athlete.

In the gym him made friends and know her couch: Genji Kamogawa (one of my favorite characters). He is a old school boxer from the times of the Japan II War World, in the time that the boxing is not very regulated. He have a point of view about the box and Ippo represent the spirit that a boxer must have.

The fights are very intensive and cool (the best is the second fight with Sendo). Ippo represent the values of the vision of boxing that Kamogawa fight and never give up: always give the better in the ring :)

Blog 4: Jimmy´s Hall Review

Hi! today i will make a review from the Ken Loach movie "Jimmy's Hall" (2014)

I like the movie. Not like "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" (gold), but is a very good movie that serves to show how was the Ireland post revolution: the interest of the State, Church and social movements, etc.

My favorite character is Marie (after Jimmy's). Her family (specifically her father) was very conservative, however, she fight for participated in the "hall" and live her life in the way that she like, assuming the consequences. She was always interesed in the music, dance and what is happened outside Ireland.

In the movie is constant the political references indirectly, but i would have liked a more individualization of this posture in some character. But is not very important, the movie shows the point of view of his director and is fine.

One of my favorite scenes is when the people are in the church and the priest begin to say the name of the participants in the Hall's party and the guys started to laugh :) (but is very sad when the father hit to marie).

Blog 3: The Wind That Shakes the Barley

Hi! Today i will write about the film "The Wind That Shakes the Barley", a history film about the independence of Ireland.

I like the film very much. Before see the film i dont know very much about Ireland history, and now i am very interested to read more about the revolution there. This movie incorporates aspects personal of the people who participated in this process and how this people made the ornigazation in general. Is a crude movie, but show very well as was.

My favorite character was Damien (i think everyone who see the movie thinks that).  He represent the spirit and expectatives from the people who wants to see a Ireland free of the imperialism.

I haven't a bad critic about the movie. Maybe i can say the extension of the film, but i really can not say this is a bad aspect (my favorite is Once Upon a Time in America and is more extense).

The best scene of "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" is when Damien dies. When i see the movie y never think that he will die, a little hope of a happy ending is maybe a constant. The way of he affront his death and the suffering of his brother is a powerful scene (he dies and come the credits!!)

Blog 2: The best vacation ever

In January i went for a week to Salvador do Bahía, im Brazil. I didn't know Brazil, and I had only traveled to Tacna when i lived in Iquique. so before the travel i was very excited for go out of Chile.

The travel it was with my family (dad, mom, sister and her couple, my little brother).

It was a long long trip ( around 12 hours in total, mostly for the scale in Sao Paulo), but i do not regret :) .

One of the places that more like me was Pelourinho, their "alleys" and bulding are very interesant and cool, and the people are very friendly. We went to a lot of beaches, but the best we were for my was im Ilha dos Frailes, Itapua and Praia do Forte. Are awesome.

I expect come back in the shortest possible time !

Blog 6: Postgraduate Studies

I think that in our area its really relevant make a postgraduate study because today the labor market change since the last 10 or 15 years ago. For the guy who likes writes in newspapers, chronics or investigation journalism is very difficult (at least in Chile) can get a job with good salary.

I dont know if study a postgrade in Digital Journalism Latinamerican Studys or onedefined in History. Each one for me is interesant and have diferent focus. On one hand, i believe in a economical sence is better some postgrade in digital journalism because internet today means a new world of oportunities and have a lot of profitable plataforms to work. In another hand, the tipe of books i love to read is books of history, so the another two subjects

I would like to study abroad (in Brazil or Portugal to improve my portuguese) , but is very hard make the money for leaving in another country, except i win a scholarship. Study here is also a good option so :) .

I will  make part-time course, because  in Chile or abroad i will time for job and make need money for living or travelling. Maybe a distance learnig can be a good option if i cant go for my job or familiar issues.

Blog 5: My Future Job

I am studyng journalism, so I like to have a job in relation with the digitals media. I believe that in this area i can work comfortubly and treat the things that interessed to me. My expectatives (soon, i hope) is create a miscelanean web page, where i can write about history,current events, music and another things of popular culture, or work in a business like that. I wish to work in a site like Vice.com, webpages where you can write about themes dat the classic media don’t take attention (I read a report about the prostitution in Colombia and the journalist collect the experiences from the womans who work in that.

I imagine my job in indoors for a technicaly reason (internet + hardware). But in this job i expect do interviews, videos and audiovisual things in general, so also have some outdoor job in this.

I dont expect have a defined salary now, because i dont really know how is the labor market today, but make the enough money for leaving alone or with some friends. The good thing is today the digitals media are the real opportunity for the workers of communication. The plataforms in the internet bring publicity, massivity and a big liberty for treat the topics that you like. 

Blog 1: Acountry I would like to visit

The country would i like to go is Kazakhstan, Central Asia.

I know that Kazakhstan have a lot of influence from diverses cultures since two millenials. Turkish, Mongol Impire and URSS took the power from the actual Kazakhstan one point in the past (the most of languajes from Central Asia came from the turkish languajes, including Kazakh languaje). Islam is the most religion in this country.

I  like to go there because is a place with a lot of mixture from culture. The arquitecture (soviet, muslim and contemporary) from Almaty and others citys. Also, this country have a lot of natural environment preserve, big steppes and forest, lakes and rivers were i like to go (i see this because i follow pages in facebook and instagram from Kazakhstan, Mongolia and anothers countries from Asia Central).

I dont now if study, work or live in this country, but i would to stay in Kazakhstan for a one or two years. Is a giant country with a lot of things to see and people for know, and i really wants to learn about Central Asia (and the neighbord country´s are very interesants too).
